Benchmark recently helped Wheeling High School make a BIG statement to promote their teams, the Wildcats .

The innovative idea and design was a creation of  The Locker Shop, a local  Elk Grove Village company that provides “custom decorated apparel and promotional items for schools, teams, special events, first responders, bars, restaurants, corporations, and organizations”.

 

The capability of turning brick surfaces into graphic surfaces is made possible by Rough Wrap, a MacTac self-adhesive vinyl product made specifically for brick and other textured surfaces.

 

The Locker Shop created the art of a 20 ft X 30 ft wildcat breaking out through the exterior wall of the high school’s basketball gymnasium. Then Benchmark took over and tiled the art, creating 23 discreet but overlapping sections our installers could match up on-site and install on the brick. The printing was done with UV inks on our Vutek. Those inks create the toughest most lightfast printing available for this type of project. Then we over-laminated the printed vinyl with the matched MacTac Rough Wrap laminate. The great work our installers did speaks for itself in these images. This was a fun project to be included in and we’re confident the wall is already the talk of the town in Wheeling.
